Instead of uploading your image files in the theme editor, you can do this in your page. This page should be HIDDEN from your navigation bar once the site is published

1. Drag & drop a DOC tool from the left
2. Click the DOC tool and upload your image
3. Hover your cursor over the "DOWNLOAD FILE" and RIGHT click
4. Here select "COPY IMAGE LINK"

Now that you have the image link you can insert it into your carousel by following the tutorial
